Canvas is a soft versatile color that can be the star of the show or work with other colors as the perfect neutral. This organic putty-tinted shade is named after the shade you will find on a painter’s canvas. Canvas is a pale muted beige that will work as the perfect furniture paint in both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Canvas is a neutral that will work with must interior design styles from rustic farmhouse to contemporary modern and sophisticated traditional. It pairs beautifully with natural materials like stone, wood and dark metals.
Combine Canvas with many of our other neutrals to create a soft calming scheme. Try it with oatmeal and stone tones and earthy browns like Honfleur for a clean and contemporary look.
This understated taupe shade with its warm undertones also works beautifully with the cooler greens and blues in the Chalk Paint palette – from the deep and bright colors to the more muted pastel colors.
It is also a color that works with earthy red such as Paprika Red and Primer Red, as well as Honfleur and Coco, together with our earthy pinks like Jaipur Pink and Antionette.

- 1 litre is enough to cover approximately 140 square ft.
- 500ml is enough to cover approximately 70 square ft.
- 250ml is enough to cover approximately 25 square ft.
Satin Paint: 25 fl oz is enough to cover approximately 118.4 square ft.
Wall Paint: 1 Gallon is enough to cover approximately 387 square ft.
Please note, Pure may require additional coats to achieve opacity, due to its colorant-free nature.
Keep in mind, if you’re painting over a dark color, you may require further coverage to achieve desired opacity.
Porous surfaces such as brick may also require additional coats. This should be factored in when considering your quantity.
Please be reminded that Chalk Paint® requires a protective coat of either Wax or Lacquer, sold separately. On floors and outdoor furniture, seal with Chalk Paint® Lacquer.
