Vida Flora IOD Paint Inlay

Debi Beard (Debi's Design Diary) designed the Vida Flora Paint Inlay in collaboration with IOD as a tribute to her Mexican heritage.  In Mexico the bold use of colors in crafts and other constructions extends back into pre-Hispanic times. Pyramids, temples, murals, textiles and religious objects were painted or colored ochre red, bright green, burnt orange, various yellows and turquoise.  Motifs from nature are as popular, if not more so, than geometric patterns in Wall Hangings and ceramics. 

This limited release Paint Inlay is on an 8-page, 16″ x 12″ pad and includes Mexican inspired images of flowers, birds, and butterflies.

IOD Paint Inlays are made from a proprietary artist quality paint which we formulated specifically for decorative use. They are organic in nature and the transfer of the painted design will be slightly varied and unique for each individual. The paint formula is “active” until sealed. That means that you can manipulate it and apply special techniques for a custom touch before you seal your piece. And, as if once wasn’t enough, you can often get a beautifully faded second impression from your Paint Inlay sheets and sometimes you can even get a third!
